"An intimate restaurant with rooms. Owners Shaun and Beatriz couldn't be more welcoming or accommodating. Rooms are cosy and comfortable, the food is absolutely excellent and tapas afternoon's, music nights etc are joy."

"Booked a table for menu del dia on a Friday afternoon, beautiful little restaurant with a gorgeous garden area. The quality, presentation & value of the food was outstanding (€16.50 for 3 courses). Attention to detail was just perfect & the service was great. Fab wine list too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gorgeous hidden gem (only negative is it's took me so long to finally get round to visiting!) "Been visiting Restaurante Azul since 2006, never had a bad meal and always received excellent service. The garden setting is tranquil and the tables well positioned. Equally, the inside eating area is a lovely place to dine when the weather becomes more inclement. Back in 2006 also stayed for over a week as a hotel guest, treated warmly by everyone (both owners and staff). As the owners haven't changed since I first crossed the threshold of the Tikar I can only praise them for constantly maintaining their standards over such a long period of time. Keep up the great work."

"Hidden Oasis, the outside terrace by the pool is a beautiful calm, serene place to eat. Hidden away you can escape and just enjoy the delicious food. Lunchtime menu del dia is amazing value at €16.50 with great food choices catering for all tastes. Sean is a master of wine enjoy a meal here come back for a wine tasting"

"Absolutely fabulous. The best meal I have ever had in spain. The menu was excellent and it has something to cater for anyone, including vegetarian option. The staff are absolutely wonderful and the place is spotlessly clean. I had the goats cheese salad to start and it was to die for. My mother had the duck salad which was tender and cooked to perfection. I can also recommend the sea bream and the pork cheeks. I will definitely be back again."

"It was our first time at Tikar Hotel and previous reviews of the dining experience were well justified. Seated outside in the garden at the back of the hotel it was easy to forget where we were. The pool, water feature and greenery added to the peaceful and relaxed vibe of the place. Also at the front of the hotel is a small terrace with tables for smokers. Also a small wine shop just aside from reception with a very nice selection. We had Menu Del Dia lunch at €16.95 each plus drinks. My wife had seafood chowder followed by slow cooked beef with mushroom sauce. I had pate followed by pig cheeks. We both finished off with bananas in rum and cinnamon sauce. The food was exceptional as was the service. It has been one of the best meals we've had since moving to Spain in March this year. We have already booked for dinner next month and we're very much looking forward to it. Well worth a 45 minute drive."
